Apartments.com brought us in as a consultant in preparation for their phased website redesign.

Solutions

As Apartments.com has over three hundred partner pages and countless individual property listings, it was decided that to optimize page load times, the site's CSS structure needed to be redeveloped. digitalbloc optimized over 4000 lines of CSS code into managable sizes by reducing redundancy and breaking up code into page type specific portions, which also required minor rewrites of the existing pages. Essentially, we broke up a single behemoth CSS file into multiple Lego-like pieces which could be called independently and interchangably, improving server response and optimizing page load times for users.
